The PAY WITH CHARLIE app offers a convenient cashless payment solution, allowing users to pay with their smartphones via QR codes without the need for registration. This innovation promises to eliminate the hassle of handling cash while enabling users to monitor their spending effectively.

This mobile payment system streamlines transactions at various locations, including vending machines, retail stores, restaurants, cafés, and taxis. Users can choose from several payment options: MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Diners Club/Discover, Apple Pay, PayPal, or even settle via their mobile phone bill. Additionally, Swiss users will soon be able to utilize TWINT for payments.

Operation Process:

1. Scan the QR code.
2. Input the amount to pay or select the product and corresponding amount.
3. Choose your payment method and complete the transaction.

Accepted Payment Locations: Look for locations marked with the PAY WITH CHARLIE sticker to find compatible vendors, which include:

• Shops and Restaurants
• Markets and Vending Stalls
• Taxis
• Snack, Beverage, and Coffee Vending Machines
• Snack Boxes
• Laundromats
• Cigarette Vending Machines
• E-Charging Stations

Available Payment Options: Users can currently make mobile payments using Mastercard, Visa, American Express, Diners Club, Discover, Apple Pay, and PayPal. Future updates will also include options for Mobile Bill & SEPA Direct Debit.

Tip Functionality: The app allows users to add a tip (5%, 10%, or 20%) to their payment amount when desired.

Transaction Overview: With the transaction overview feature within the app, users can track all of their past payments made through PAY WITH CHARLIE.

Coupons for Savings: Users can access available coupons during purchase and monitor these in a dedicated coupon overview section within the app.

Commitment to Privacy: PAY WITH CHARLIE prioritizes user anonymity—there is no requirement for app registration and no personal data is stored. All transactions are encrypted for optimal security.
